last week I had an opening in Milan 👀 all new works, new formats, same insistent soul insisting intentionality, numinosity, and jumping pictures with siblings:
99.5% of you couldn’t come, so I built a simple site where you can explore the works and understand a bit more about them.
fun fact: all my pieces for the exhibition fit in a 5 kg box and 1/2 a suitcase. That’s 9 paintings, 4 sculptures (3 at 2,5 x 2,5 m each), a video work and an audio work, folded up and then popped back out for 1200 m2 in the heart of Milan. Optimising for mobility is my favorite form of 🤸🏻
The exhibition, FIELD WORK, arose out of deeply delightful correspondences with my friend and fellow geomancer Tillmann Lauterbach. It was his initiative that brought us together and procured us the incredible space; then diligence gave way to serendipity and the rest just coalesced into place. I’m incredibly grateful for his trust in me, and for our producer Veronica Albio who helped develop FIELD WORK across all of its arcs.
